After all, he is the father of the anthem of the Russian Federation and many unique Russian patriotic songs, the composer Alexander Vasilyevich. He not only invested his talent and soul in his works, which the entire country knew, but also taught those who chose this path for the musical art. Alexander Vasilievich Aleksandrov, whose biography is considered by us today, raised domestic choral singing to a qualitatively new level. Thanks to him, the whole world recognized the power and amazing beauty of the Russian voice.
In a small village called Plakhino on April 13in 1883 a boy was born in the family of peasants, who was named Sasha. When he was 8 years old, he moved with his parents to permanent residence in St. Petersburg. In the same year he sang in the choir of the Kazan Cathedral. In 1897 Alexander became a pupil of the singing chapel at the court, which he graduated in 1900. Under the guidance of the distinguished conductor A. Arkhangelsky, Alexandrov learned the basics of musical art.
After he continued his studies at the Conservatoryin St. Petersburg, but, unfortunately, was forced to leave school due to illness and a difficult financial situation. The damp climate of the northern capital of Russia affected the health of the young guy is very unfavorable, which also caused him to fail to provide for his studies and stay in St. Petersburg.
In 1902, the future outstanding composer,choirmaster, conductor and teacher moved to Bologoye and began to work there as a regent of the church choir, as well as a teacher of choral art in the technical and railway technical schools.
In 1906 Aleksandrov Alexander Vasilyevich (photothose years on the right) moved to the city of Tver, organized a music school there, which he successfully directed while working as a choirmaster. Already in 1909 the composer was able to continue his education at the Conservatory in Moscow. In 1913, he received a diploma about its graduation by composition class, and already in 1916 - by singing class.
In 1918, Alexander was invited to the Conservatory in Moscow to teach there musical and theoretical subjects. Within four years he became a professor.
Alexander Vasilyevich the main direction of hisworks considered the song most loved by the people, and a simple form of music. In total, they wrote 80 original songs, as well as masterfully crafted more than 70 folk songs from around the world.
The composer was twice awarded the Stalin Prize,received the rank of Major-General, Doctor of Arts, received many orders and medals as a recognition of his work. The anthem of the Russian Federation is laid on the melody of Alexandrov (formerly the USSR National Anthem).
