Narratives of personal or social phenomenalife, seen and passed through the prism of perception of the author, who put them on paper, are called memories. Often they are also associated with diaries, although there is no element of chronology. Recollection is an event or part of the past that does not affect reality and is stored only "for oneself." You can contradict them with memoirs, which, in fact, are the same, only written to represent the public. Consider the interpretation, features of use and declension of the word in more detail.
Linguists identify up to two main values.In common vocabulary, you can often see its use in the plural. "Memoirs", whose meaning is reduced to the archives of memory and elements of literary activity, is also associated with the past, the analysis of past events and their influence on the present (in psychology). Let's consider two basic variants of interpretation.
In the dictionary, D.N. Ushakov:
1. Mental reproduction of what has been preserved in memory.
Memories of childhood affect the whole subsequent life and behavior of a person.
Pleasant memories give strength to new achievements.
2. In the plural, the word denotes a literary work, where events are described, of which the author was an eyewitness. Such a statement is also called memoirs or notes.

The film "Memories of the Future" is based on the book "Covenants of Youth" by Vera Brittain.
3. In colloquial speech, one can hear a playful expression: "There is only one memory left", when the speaker means that nothing else is preserved, everything disappeared without a trace.

The word "remembrance" is a nounmiddle-class, inanimate, 2nd declination. The prefix:; suffixes: -a-none; root:-remember-; ending: -e. According to AA Zaliznyak's classification, it refers to the type of declension 7a.
Similar in meaning words, which in those orother contexts can be replaced by "remembrance", it is: recall, memory, flashback, note, memoir, fiction, literature, remembrance, book. Synonyms allow the wide use of words / concepts in colloquial and written speech. They also more fully reveal the subtleties of its meaning.
As it was mentioned above, only "recollection" refers to spoken expressions. It denotes the absence of any quality or object in the present.
Recollection can be:
- terrible / painful / severe / painful;
- cheerful / pleasant / sweet / happy / warm / wonderful;

Recollection can: zip / float / arise / appear / tease / pierce / slip away.
